March 3rd…it was a Tuesday. Third fingerprinting complete! Our paperwork regarding fingerprinting (for the I-600 form) expired once again.
Still hoping for that great day! Maybe soon. =)

I looked through the blog today and decided to view the “event log” page.
What a great reminder of God’s goodness through this process!
Our “history” thus far is really that, God’s goodness. It is, after all, His-Story.
Even in the waiting, He has a plan for us!
Two things stood out to me.
First, we started this process in July of 2006. We are coming up on our third anniversary of the entire process! Time does fly it seems.
Secondly, I noticed we are quite rapidly approaching the two year anniversary of our log-in date.
God has a reason for the delays and external frustrations and pressures. He “picked out”, (even “adopted!”), this child for us before time began! We just need to rest in His perfect plan. His timing is the best we could ask for.

From Beholding His Glory, “Real faith…put to the ultimate test,” (http://jmhans.wordpress.com):
“Good Morning America just aired an exclusive interview with the Steven Curtis Chapman family on the loss of their youngest daughter, Maria Sue. Maria was struck by the family vehicle in the driveway.
Robin, from GMA, asked the family how they could get through such a difficult loss. Their answer: faith! They live with an unwavering hope. They still have questions, but they do not question their faith!
They still grieve the loss of little Maria, but they know that God has made her whole. They are certain they will see her again one day in heaven!
Continue to pray for the Chapman family during this trial in their lives.”
What a hope!!
Maria’s adoption into the Chapman family is not very far from the reality of the believer being adopted into God’s family. We are born separated from God’s family, but because of the work of Christ, we are adopted into His family as His children!
What an awesome picture!
Another picture from Maria’s spiritual adoption is the hope for her future. Her eternity is secure in Christ! As sinful people, there is nothing we can do to gain our salvation & their is nothing we can do to lose it! It is all God’s power from beginning to end!!
Praise the Lord!

We recently received an email from Living Hope that the CCAA (China Center of Adoption Affairs) has reviewed all dossiers through January 31, 2007. This is our log-in date!!
We are still in the long waiting process, but this is one more landmark event that gets us closer to picking up our china doll!
Continue to pray for us…that we would trust in God’s perfect timing & patiently wait on Him to provide!

We have been blessed through our adoption agency to “meet” the other families in our travel group. (Travel group = when we go to China, we will travel with several other families, who are also adopting children from China.) We are now able to communicate through email with these families. This provides us an opportunity to get to know them before we even start traveling.

It has been 1 year since we received our log-in date (January 31, 2007)!
We are very excited, as we know the time until we receive our referral is not too far away.
Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers!
